Writing One

The name of the book is “Chasing Destiny”. The book is based on different things like love, cheat, self-respect, trusting your partner, and violence. One person in the book uses the most violence.
There is a young girl by the name Destiny that is going through a lot with her parents. Her parents are suppose to be getting a divorce and it is tearing her up inside. Destiny let her parent’s relationship get the best of her which brought out all the evil in her.
One night Destiny snuck out of her grandparent’s house late at night to go hang with some guys she had met at the mall. When they came and got her, two other girls were in the car and one was talking bad about her. “I will beat a girls butt if she even looks at my man, let alone to step to him. I don’t play that mess,” the Chinese/Black said. That’s when Destiny beat that girl bad. She hit the Chinese/Black girl with her pocket book, which had a brick in it. Instead of Destiny fighting that girl, she should have just walked away and let the girl keep talking. Another thing she should have just stayed home like she was supposed to, then she wouldn’t have had that problem to deal with in the first place.
They left the Chinese/Black girls and went to a hotel. While at the hotel, they gave her something to drink and she passed out. She woke up the next day and saw things she didn’t want to see. Multiple boys were in the room and they raped Destiny. They left her there with no way to get home. She left the room hurting and the memories of what she had seen on the floor kept coming back to her; she was scared to go home. Her violence really started once she had left the hotel room. She was ready to take out revenge on everyone.
Destiny found the main people that she knew that had hurt her. She threw Clorox in one girls face. She found D’ Andre and shot him in the lower part of his body, causing him to go to the hospital. Since her mother had put in her head that Billie was trying to get their money, when she really wasn’t; she tried to kill her baby, Destiny’s father’s baby. She gave Billie some pills that would abort her child. Then Destiny found out the truth about Billie not wanting their money and old Billie about the pills, even though Billie really didn’t take them.
They was Destiny acted was very violent. I wouldn’t think a girl would let her parent’s situation bring her down to do a lot of horrible things. Destiny should have been strong and not let her actions get the best of her. It was wrong for the people she was with that night to have treated her like that, but to me she brought that on herself because she shouldn’t have left her grandparents house. What she did to Billie was also wrong she know she couldn’t have believed anything her mother says about someone who likes Destiny father. Destiny killed an innocent child that could have been her brother or sister, all because of stress and all the things that happened to her.
“Chasing Destiny”, you will understand all the violence it has in it. Destiny isn’t the only one in this book that dealt with violence; she is the person I chose to write about because I feel that she did the worst violence anyone else could have done in this book. She was fifteen going sixteen. I feel that she could have dealt with the situation at hand because she was old enough to understand that her parent’s weren’t happy anymore. I guess parent’s getting a divorce can bring a lot of kid grief.
